Blaine, MN – Coonan Inc., manufacturer of the unique custom 1911 chambered in .357 Magnum, introduces their new Compact model.

The Coonan .357 Magnum Compact packs a powerful punch in a small package.   This custom 1911 delivers personal protection in an easy to carry and platform. The uniquely engineered self-defense handgun offers fine tuned performance with the same quality as their “Classic” full size model.

The Compact is built with a stainless steel 4-inch barrel, 6+1 single-stack magazine, dovetail front and rear black sights and smooth black walnut grip panels with the Coonan symbol engraved into the wood, just like the Classic model big brother.     The Coonan Compact is designed after John Browning’s 1911 and incorporates a grip safety, thumb safety skeleton Commander-style hammer, as well as an external extractor. The pistol incorporates a full-length guide rod, a 24# recoil spring and a link-less bull barrel that fits snugly into the bushing. The handgun comes complete with a takedown wrench for easy cleaning.
